  • Aug. 31, 2009: (An email from P.S.C.Heuberger@tudelft.nl) – Due to a mistake in the studyguide, students in the Mechanical Engineering track ME-BMD (Biomechanical design) have enrolled in the course SC4025 (6 ECTS). This is NOT correct and these students should instead enroll for the course SC4026 (Control System Design). As this course is only 3 ECTS, this also means that these students have another 3 ECTS for elective courses. Please contact the ME-BMD coordinator Martijn Wisse (M.Wisse@tudelft.nl) for details.
The course SC4026 is compulsory for the Mechanical Engineering track Biomechanical Design (ME-BMD) and the MSc programme Biomedical Engineering, as well as the Mechanical Engineering track Precision and Microsystems Engineering (ME-PME)

  • Aug. 28, 2009: Please note that the old course SC4020/21/22 administered in previous academic years has been reorganized into two courses.

The course Control Theory (SC4025, 6 EC) is designed for those who intend to SPECIALIZE in control in their studies. It develops the fundamental concepts of control in quite some depth, including proofs of the main results. It also requires a solid background in classical control as taught e.g. during the Bachelor’s program of 3mE.

In contrast, the present course Control Systems Design (SC4026, 3 EC) emphasizes the broader concepts of control on a more application-oriented level. It can be followed by students without an in-depth knowledge of classical control and who will not specialize in control in their later studies.

  • Aug. 28, 2009: Indicatively, Mondays will be dedicated to Lectures, Thursdays on Exercise Sessions (except for the very first class).

Thereafter, starting with the second week, classes on Mondays will be held at 10:30AM in CZ C, 3mE building, whereas classes on Thursdays will be held at 10:30AM in RW-CZ 1.
