I am Marco Forgione, Ph.D. candidate at Delft University of Technology in the Delft Center for Systems and Control (DCSC) department.
I was born in Varese, Italy in 1986 and I got my Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering in 2007 from the University of Pavia. In 2009 I got my Master's degree in Computer Engineering with focus on Automation from the same university. Afterwards, I moved to The Netherlands to start my Ph.D.
My curriculum (short version) is available here.

The focus of my Ph.D project is on identification and control strategies suitable for industrial batch processes such as crystallization. In particular I am interested in

  • Iterative Learning Control
  • Batch-to batch Identification & Optimization
  • Experiment Design
We are collaborating with partners such as DSM, Albemarle, Frieslandcampina, MSD and DotX Control Solutions in order to bring the theoretical results into the industrial practice. More details on the project are provided in the section Ph.D.
